The hottest part of any computer are the processor and graphics chip. They can easily get as hot as 100 degrees celsius (hot enough to boil water). So what stops you and the rest of the computer feeling this heat? And what does SMJ TECH do to help make sure your computer never overheats and get fried?
Every computer has something called a heat sink. This component is largely made from copper and takes all the heat that the processor makes and transfers it to the fan where it is blasted out of the computer as soon as possible.

The only problem is that computers older than 3 years need their heat sinks serviced in order for them to work as good as new. Here's how we do it to every computer we sell (and how other refurbishment companies don't).
To allow the processor to transfer its heat to the copper heat sink, a grease called thermal paste is used. Thermal paste can be 100 times better at transferring the heat than just air, so it's an extremely important part. But over time, the grease loses its heat capabilities and therefore needs reapplying. Here's how we do it.

Step #1 - Remove Old Thermal Paste

First, we remove the old, no longer useful thermal paste from the processor cores. This allows us to apply completely fresh new paste.
Then using professional processor cleaning solution, we remove every last bit of it, so the the cores look clean and brand new.

Step #2 - Apply New Thermal Paste

Now we're ready to reapply the new thermal paste. We use high quality paste that costs more than 3 times as much as average ones. But when you're dealing with components as important as these, it's worth the extra cost for higher quality.
Now that the paste has been applied, the heat sink can be replaced and the processor's and graphic's heat will be displaced as well as it possibly can.

This is one of the many reasons why buying a computer from us ensures that you receive a high quality product. We go to extraordinary lengths to make sure that all the computers we dispatch reach impeccably high standards.
